Music has been integral to human existence and experience since the dawn of humanity. Music has been ascribed as being many things; the universal language, the language of the soul, a reflection of the Divine. Music can be inspirational, motivational, thought-provoking, joyous, just great fun, and also an incredible healer.
Music and medicine were once inseparable. The Chinese character for medicine stems from the character for music. The ancient Greeks used music to promote relaxation, better sleep, and to ease the pain they felt. Native Americans and Africans used singing and chanting as a core component of healing rituals. In Jewish tradition, King Saul had his troubled spirit soothed by the harp playing of a young shepherd boy named David. And the ancient Indians used music to heighten intimate experiences between a husband and wife.
Modern research has shown what our ancestors knew instinctively, that music has healing and medical properties of great benefit in our lives.

There are yoga studios and there is Heart & Soul. I have enjoyed a few yoga studios in Sydney but nothing compares to the warm inviting atmosphere of Heart & Soul. Bianca is a loving and nurturing teacher with an amazing talent on the singing bowls. The energy that you feel at the end of the session leaves you feeling totally uplifted and energized.
